Can you really do this? I would have thought author would wait to name until
adult has been recognized? I really dont think there
is enough here to publish. Can you give something a name having only identified
microfilaria? Mackerras refers to unidentified MF in
rats when no further detail is available. The details provided in MF
measurement seems inadequate- compare Spar and Varryhese
1975. Fig generally replace in detailed line drawings. Figures are inadequate.
In absence of further knowledge re adult/life cycle, Some
molecular data would be useful to show phylogenetic
relationships. Finally manuscript isn't well written. Images are poor
quality. Live drawings as per Mackerras would show
features more clearly.
