ABSTRACT

Sabet Sarvestani S, Rezvani MR, Zamiri MJ,  Shekarforoush SS, Nazifi S, Shamsaei HA, Atashi H, Mosleh N., Effects of dietary nano-copper oxide and mannan oligosaccharide on blood serum globulins and tissue and fecal copper concentrations in broilers, Onl J Vet Res., 18(7): 554-562,  2014.   The effects of 100 mg/kg nano-copper oxide (NCu), 1 g/kg mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) on serum albumin, globulin, liver, kidney and scapular muscle tissue and fecal copper levels in groups of broiler chicks is described. Controls were fed basal diet without supplementations. Compared with controls, MOS supplement increased serum alpha- and gamma- globulins. Liver, kidney and scapular muscle copper concentrations were not affected by any diet. Fecal copper increased in NCu-supplemented broilers but in those also given MOS, declined.
