ABSTRACT
Fahad OA, Ali Al-Graibawi
MA., Synthesis of silver nanoparticles with curcumin powder, Onl J Vet Res., 26 (2):130-136, 2022. Authors describe manufacture, identification and characterization of silver
nanoparticles with aqueous extracts of tubers of Curcumin longa (C.
longa) powder. Nano particles were identified by UV-Visible
Spectrophotometer at 433nm, Fourier Transformation Infrared (FT-IR) at 500-4000
cm-1 wherein 3327 cm-1 was associated with vibration of hydroxyl (-OH) and 2922
cm-1 CH aromatics and OCH3 clusters. The band at 1645 cm-1 represented –C = O and
peak at 1010 cm-1 absorption of C–O–C bonds. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
recorded 35.3 nm average diameter of nanoparticles, with
diffraction peaks from lattice 111, 200, 220 and 311 planes at angles of 38.27o,
44.59o, 64.40o, and 77.75o. Our results
simulate the majority of previous studies. Briefly, we describe a simple method
to produce silver nanoparticles loaded with C. longa powder obtained by
aqueous extract.
