ABSTRACT

Abbas MQ,  Abd Al-Majeed SH., Identification of avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) Iraqi isolates by PCR, Onl J Vet Res., 23 (4):330-336, 2019. Vaccination against Infectious bronchitis (IBV) is moderately successful due to appearance of antigenic variants in S1 spike protein mutations at different locations. We report IBV strains isolated from tracheal tissues of 30 chickens from different locations of Iraq. We found IBV virus Ur1/09 with putative nucleocapsid protein ~344bp long with 94% similarity to GenBank sequence (Acc. No.: HQ607366.1). The isolated avian infectious virus NP gene showed highest similarity (~93%) with isolates from S. Korea, Turkey, Singapore and England.
