ABSTRACT

Kumar B, Manuja A,  Kumar A., Single dilution ELISA for foot and mouth disease serotype viruses, Onl J Vet Res., 28(5): 263-269, 2024. Solid (SP) and liquid phases (LP) single dilution ELISA were developed for foot and mouth disease virus antibodies of serotypes O, Asia 1 and subtype A22. Antibody titers of 80 cattle serum before and 21 days after vaccination with polyvalent vaccine were determined by multi-dilution ELISA for inhibition by 2 fold serum dilutions of 1:10 to 1:80. Maximum correlation was found at 1:40 dilution for all serotypes except for Asia 1 LP ELISA at 1:80 dilution.  Serum antibody titres of 20 cattle serum samples estimated by multidilution and single dilution ELISA revealed no significant difference between the antibody titers.

Keywords: Foot and Mouth disease, single dilution ELISA, percent inhibition.
