Explanatum explanatum : an emerging
liver fluke in cattle and sheep.

2014. Explanatum explanatum a biliary duct
and gall bladder parasite of ruminants is a subgenus of Paramphistomum.
Identification of the species is based upon the structure of the acetabulum,
terminal genitalium and pharynx. The present study
was conducted to identify amphistomes isolated from
the liver of sheep and cattle in Iran. All amphistomes
were identified as Explanatum explanatum.
