M, Unusual radiographic findings in a puppy with esophageal diverticulum, Onl J Vet Res., 17 (12):691-697,
2013. A
three-month- old, female, German shepherd puppy was presented vomiting shortly
after eating and severe weight loss since birth. A plain lateral radiograph was
taken which showed a large, radio-opaque mass just cranial to the heart. Two
lateral and ventro-dorsal contrast radiographs revealed contrast medium accumulation at the
site of the mass which protruded into the bronchi of the right caudal lung lobe
suggesting that that there was a connection between the esophagus and one or
more bronchi of this lung lobe.
