ABSTRACT
Dehaghi MM., Lungworm (Crenosoma striatum) infection in long-eared hedgehog (Hemiechinus auritus), Onl J Vet Res., 20(2):45-51, 2016. Crenosoma
striatum is a common lungworm of hedgehogs. C.
striatum can cause loss of weight, dry cough, bronchitis with ulcers,
secondary bacterial infections, thickening of the tracheal wall and pulmonary
emphysema, and eventually, cardiovascular failure. Six dead hedgehogs (Hemiechinus auritus),
examined were infested by
Crenosoma
striatum in lungs
