hypothetical protein YHR105W from S. Cerevisiae genome,
Online J Bioinformatics, 12(2):207-216, 2011.The first Eukaryotic genome to be
sequenced in 1966 was the common Baker’s Yeast, S.Cerevisae. It is used as a
model organism, as it shares similarity with a vast number of genes, proteins and genetic pathways
in humans. A suitable sequence was selected for comparative modeling studies.
Results revealed that, though the sequence similarity with the targets from PDB
were lower than 25%, the structural homology between the template and the model
hypothetical protein YHR105W was found to be high, suggesting similar
functional roles.
