ABSTRACT

Niranjan V, Tamilzharasi V, Rahiman BA , Mohomood R, Kangesan P., Protein coding genes in Xq22.1 by molecular weight, class, biology, localization and expression, Onl J Vet Res., 28 (11): 782-786, 2024. Human X-chromosome Xq22.1 is associated with X-linked mental retardation (XLMR), Fabry disease and Cancer. We evaluate protein coding genes in Xq22.1 by molecular weight, class, biology, localization and expression. We found transcription regulatory protein as major class in nucleus and cytoplasm and most expression in testes, Nucleic acid metabolism, Protein metabolism, Signal transduction are prominent but phosphorylation was the only post translational modification identified in the genome.

Keywords: x-chromosome, Xq22.1, Nucleic acid metabolism, Protein metabolism.
