ABSTRACT

Tajik J, Samimi AS, Tajik T, Bakhshaei S, Mirjordavi A., Electrocardiographic parameters in clinically healthy cashmere goats, Onl J Vet Res., 17(10):528-534, 2013. Normal electrocardiographic (ECG) parameters taken from base-apex lead in 40 clinically healthy Cashmere Raini goats are reported. Mean heart rate was 108.29 ± 4.6SD beats/min ranging from 60.8 to 166.7 beats/min. Sinus arrhythmia and sinus tachycardia were found in 73 and 53% of goats, respectively. There was no sex difference in heart rate, amplitude of ECG waves or duration of ECG waves and intervals. However, there was a difference between year old and older goats in heart rate, amplitude of P wave and duration of R-R intervals. Age may affect some ECG parameters in cashmere goats.

Key words: Raini, Goat, Electrocardiogram
