ABSTRACT
Sakhaee E, Khalili M, Imani M., Seroprevalence of caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus in
Iran, Onl J Vet Res., 15 (3): 256-260, 2011. A total of
138 serum samples from twelve goat herds were analyzed for
arthritis-encephalitis virus. Serological prevalence was determined using an
indirect ELISA test. Antibodies were detected in 15 sera (10.87 %), of which 6
were male (4.35 %), and 9 female (6.52 %). Nine of 12 herds (75%) were
serologically positive. This information may assist with control and
eradication measures.
