N, Brain tumor biomarker identification by differential gene expression
analysis microarray data, Onl J Vet Res., 27 (1):
1-9, 2023. We undertook a meta-analysis to
identify drug brain tumor therapeutic targets over-expressed in cancer tissue
compared to normal brain tissue. Data mining for differential gene expression
analysis of normal and brain cancer tissue by applying sequence odds ratio for
significance (P < 0.001). Analyses yielded 2298 up regulated genes in brain
tumor tissues and functional annotation through gene ontology database and found
5 enriched GO categories. Analysis of Transcription Factor Activity included 75
genes in KEGG pathway database for 5 genes TCF7L1, RXRA, RXRG, RB1, and NFATC3
implicated in cancer pathways. These genes may be considered as biomarkers for
brain tumors.
