ABSTRACT
Ali Akbar Rezaei,
Mehdi Golchin, Agglutination test for detection of Toxoplasma gondii , Onl J Vet Res.,
19(12): 796-802, 2015. A rapid latex agglutination test using
recombinant anti P30 antigen of Toxoplasma gondii
is described. For high level expression of anti-P30 single chain-Fv (scFv) antibody, scFv gene was cloned into a bacterial vector under control
of T7 promoter. Expression of this gene in pET26b vector leads to production of
antibody in Escherichia coli (16 mg /L). After one step purification,
the recombinant antibody was conjugated to latex beads for agglutination.
Results suggested that particles agglutinated Toxoplasma gondii from
contaminated meat samples.
Key words: latex agglutination, recombinant
antibodies, scFv, Toxoplasma gondii.
