ABSTRACT
Saeedeh MS, Amin D., Teratogenic effects of aminoform
in chicken embryos, Onl J Vet Res., 18(3): 208-212, 2014. There is little
data concerning effects of aminoform compounds on
embryos. Teratogenic effects of aminoform in chicken
embryos are described. Groups of 10 fertile chicken eggs each were non-treated
controls, needle controls (injected in the yolk sac without any product), saline controls or
injected 30mg/egg aminoform at the 4th day
of incubation. At the 18th day of incubation aminoform
treated eggs revealed abdominal/thoracic cysts without any structures. Normal
brain tissue was replaced by large cavity with a rim of nervous tissue and
feather formation was defective. Findings suggest that one injection of
30mg/egg aminoform is harmful to chicken embryos..
