The effect of single Aleo vera extract 100 and 200mg/kg intraperitoneal injection in Huso huso fish on immunological and hematological markers over 21 days are described. Compared with controls, Aloe vera enhanced (P < 0.05) serum lysozyme ~31-35%, complement ~30-66%, hemoglobin ~52-90%, hematocrit ~27-37%, white cells ~26-32%, corpuscles ~31-35%, cell hemoglobin ~12-80%. However neutrophils declined (P < 0.05) ~52-55% and monocytes ~46% but lymphocytes increased ~29%. Results suggest intraperitoneal Aloe vera may boost immune and hematological responses in Huso Huso fish.
